One suspect has been arrested and charged with a felony, Glenview police said, in connection with a crime in which three men with firearms accosted a couple who were returning to their Glenview home at about 11 p.m. on April 21.

The Chicago Police Department took Angelo B. Hatter, a 26-year-old male, of the 0-100 block of North Latrobe Avenue, Chicago, into custody on June 6 at 12:30 p.m. due to a Glenview Police Department warrant, according to a Glenview police news release.

Hatter was taken to the Glenview Police Department, charged  with armed robbery with a firearm, according to the police news release, transferred to the custody of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department for a conditions hearing on June 8, and held in custody, with the next hearing scheduled for June 10.

Glenview police said detectives are continuing to investigate this incident with the assistance of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

During the April 21 incident, Glenview police said their preliminary investigation found that three offenders displaying handguns approached a man and women who were returning to their home and demanded their belongings. After taking the belongings, police said the offenders fled in a Jaguar SUV which was later found, unoccupied, in the 4300 block of South Federal Street in Chicago.

An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
