1 dead, 1 critically injured in double shooting overnight on West Side, 1 arrested

Chicago police responding to a call of shots fired overnight on the West Side found two victims shot, one fatally, in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, a 20-year-old man was critically wounded in the 3600 block of West Flournoy Street. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Chicago police said.

Another man,18, was shot in the abdomen and also was taken to the same hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

A third man was arrested at the scene for unlawful use of a weapon, and three handguns were recovered.

Detectives were investigating
