SheRo Program from social services agency UCAN Chicago helps heal women most at risk for violence

Just off the lobby at the gated North Lawndale campus of the social service agency UCAN sits a room where women, mainly mothers, convene for hours sharing stories about their lives and children, their successes and frustrations. Jupiter Magazine launch centers art criticism in a radical way

At a time when the consolidation of journalism endeavors is producing a homogenized journalistic landscape given hedge fund/private equity firm ownership, local journalism outlets are growing with young people at the helm ready to address voids in the field.
