Masters weekend has three-way tie and more forgiving conditions. It also has Tiger Woods.

The 60 players who survived one of the most wind-blown, grueling days at the Masters were greeted by an Augusta National that appeared to be far more agreeable on Saturday. Yet scoring was still difficult as players were instead greeted by firm, slick greens and some tricky hole locations. Tiger Woods, who had been putting well all week, went bogey-double-double during a three-hole stretch on the first nine Saturday and fell out of contention. Scottie Scheffler shared the lead coming into the day with Bryson DeChambeau and Max Homa at 6-under. The world No. 1 promptly birdied the first hole to take the lead solo.

Scheffler goes back-to-back in Players Championship in Sunday thriller at Sawgrass

Scottie Scheffler has become the first player in the 50 years of The Players Championship to win back-to-back. This was the hardest. Not only was he dealing with neck pain all week, he started the final round five shots behind. Scheffler closed with a 64. That matches the lowest final round by a winner. He also tied a Players Championship record with a five-shot comeback. U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark, British Open champion Brian Harman and Xander Schauffele all finished one shot behind. All of them had their chances over the final three holes to force a playoff.
