A man was pronounced dead and two others suffered smoke inhalation in an apartment fire Wednesday morning in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the North Side, officials said.
Shortly before 4:15 a.m., a man believed to be in his 30s, was found unresponsive in an apartment fire in the 1900 block of West Ainslie Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Chicago police said. Two other people were taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation, officials said.
Two people were displaced in the fire which is being investigated by fire officials.
As of Wednesday morning, the victim has not been identified.
