A male suspect was taken into custody Thursday morning after a 37-year-old man was attacked with a sharp object in the Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m., the victim was outside in the 100 block of West Lake Street when he was involved in an argument with another male. The person he was arguing with pulled out a sharp object and cut the victim, police said.
The victim suffered lacerations to the face, neck and wrist. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
The suspect was placed into custody after the attack, and charges were pending. The suspect also was taken to the same hospital with an injury to an arm.
