1 in custody after wounding a 50-year-old man Friday morning on the North Side

A gunman was taken into custody after police said he wounded a 50-year-old man during an argument Friday morning in the River North neighborhood.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., the victim was involved in an argument in the 200 block of East Grand Avenue when the person he was arguing with pulled out a firearm and opened fire, police said.

The victim was struck to the left shoulder, and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in good condition.

A weapon was recovered at the scene, and the shooter was taken into custody.

Charges are pending.
