A man was taken into custody after allegedly shooting a 41-year-old woman he was arguing with in a vehicle Saturday morning in the the Hegewisch neighborhood on the Southeast Side, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m., the woman was sitting in a vehicle is the 2500 block of East 130th Street when she was arguing with a known man. The argument became physical and the man pulled out a gun and shot her to the left shoulder, police said.
The woman was taken to UChicago Medicine where she was listed in fair condition.
Responding officers arrested the man and charges are pending.
