13-year-old boy among 2 wounded Thursday night on Red Line

A 13-year-old boy was among two victims shot on a CTA Red Line train Thursday night in the Armour Square neighborhood on the South Side, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 9:50, officers responded to a call of a person shot on a CTA train in the 100 block of West 35th Street and discover a boy with a gunshot wound to the left arm, Chicago police said.

The boy was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was listed in fair condition.

A man, 30, also suffered a gunshot wound to the left bicep and treated at the scene when he refused to be taken to the hospital.

Police reported both victims were uncooperative. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
