A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the city’s South Side, according to Chicago police.
The boy was shot in the thigh just before 4:30 p.m. while standing near a sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Winchester Avenue, police said. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was initially listed in good condition, police said.
Police said no suspects are in custody, and that detectives are investigating the shooting.
