16-year-old girl charged in armed robbery on CTA property in East Pilsen

A 16-year-old girl was charged with armed robbery of a 26-year-old man on CTA property in the East Pilsen neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Oct. 13, the girl robbed a man by knife point in the 2000 block of South Archer Avenue and made off with the man’s belongings, police said.

Police said the robbery happened on CTA property.

The girl was arrested Wednesday in the 5100 block of South Wentworth Avenue after she was identified from a community alert as one of the robbers.

She was scheduled to appear at a detention hearing Thursday in juvenile court.
