A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded Wednesday night on the South Side in the Douglas neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 9:45 p.m., the teenage boy was outside in the 600 block of East 31st Street when a fight between multiple people started and shots rang out. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody for the shooting and detectives are investigating.
