An 18-year-old man was shot in the head Tuesday night in a shooting on the West Side in the North Lawndale neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 1800 block of South Avers Avenue and discovered an 18-year-old man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
