An 18-year-old man was critically wounded overnight in a stabbing in the West Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 1 a.m. Friday, the victim was walking in the first block of North Western Avenue when he was approached by multiple people. One of them pulled out a sharp object and struck the victim before fleeing the scene, police said.
The victim suffered multiple lacerations to the body and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
