A 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were both shot Wednesday night while driving on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in the Near North neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 9:15 p.m., the victims were headed north in the 1000 block of DuSable Lake Shore Drive when a light colored sedan pulled up next their SUV and someone inside opened fire before fleeing the scene, police said.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The woman also was taken to the same hospital with a wound to the left calf and was listed in fair condition, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
