2 children killed, 2 people injured Sunday in Carpentersville house fire

Two children died and two people are hospitalized as a result of a Sunday morning house fire in Carpentersville.

Fire Chief Bill Anaszewicz confirmed the deaths, but did not have the ages or genders of the victims. One adult and one child were taken to a local hospital for treatment, he said.

Two other people who live in the home at 1724 Kingston Circle refused treatment, he said.

A fire alert was dispatched about 10 a.m.

Neighbors said six people had been living in the home, three adults and three children, all of the children 4 years old or younger.

No information on the fire were available as of 2 p.m.
