2 injured, one critically in arson fire Monday night in Little Village neighborhood

A 60-year-old woman was in critical condition after being rescued from a fire Monday night in the Little Village neighborhood, officials said.

Chicago police responded to a fire in the 2400 block of South Sawyer Avenue where a woman was removed from the second floor. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and listed in critical condition for smoke inhalation, police aid. A 62-year-old man also was taken to the same hospital for minor injuries, police said.

Chicago firefighters put out the blaze and determined arson was the cause of the fire, police said.

No one was in custody and officials were investigating,
