Two people were killed in a fiery crash in Woodridge Sunday night, according to Woodridge police.
The Woodridge police and fire departments responded around 8:45 p.m. on March 2 to a vehicle that crashed into a home at the 2400 block of Kildeer Street, police said. Upon arrival, officials found that both the vehicle and part of the home were engulfed in flames.
The fire department was able to remove the vehicle from the home and put out the fire, police said. Two individuals were found inside the vehicle and were pronounced dead on scene. They have not yet been identified. While part of the home was damaged, the residents inside the home did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown and authorities are continuing to investigate the accident.
