2 men charged in connection with Oak Forest stabbing that left several injured, police say

Two men from Robbins and Hazel Crest were charged in connection with a stabbing Saturday afternoon at an Oak Forest restaurant.

Jaray Brown Jr., 20, of Robbins and Camren Brown, 22, of Hazel Crest were each charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The charges were filed Monday.

The stabbing occurred at Jamaica Jerk Choice, at 6064 W. 159th St., Saturday, Oak Forest police said. Officers responded at about 2 p.m. and found several people with stab wounds, police said.

Camren Brown and Jaray Brown are accused of using a knife to intentionally harm a man, causing cuts around his neck and head that left him hospitalized at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital, according to the court filing.

Three people were taken into custody Saturday, though only two have been formally charged, according to the Oak Forest’s communications director.

The city has not said how many were injured, but that those hurt were taken to a hospital for treatment.
