Summer Gary-area reading, math program begins June 10 at 23 sites
Enrollment is open at 23 Lake County sites for a $1.1 million state-funded summer program to boost student reading and math skills. The program can accommodate about 750 students. The Urban League of Northwest Indiana and DHB & Associates, a local education consulting company, are the grant recipients and will oversee the program. The program is open to traditional public school students in Gary and Lake Ridge schools, charter schools, private schools and home-schooled children.
