Driver hits, kills pedestrian in Niles Sunday morning
– On 6/16/2024 at approximately 8:38am the Niles Police Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Milwaukee and Maryland in Niles. The pedestrian, an 86 year old male from Niles was crossing from West to East across Milwaukee Avenue and was struck by a 2017 Toyota RAV4, driven by a 66 year old male from Northbrook that was southeast bound on Milwaukee in the curb lane. The Niles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 9:05am. […]
