A West Side man was charged with attempted first-degree murder in a Thursday night home invasion where a victim was critically stabbed in the Sheffield Neighbors neighborhood, Chicago police said. Devion Deshaun Allen, 25, of the 2700 block of West Augusta Boulevard was charged with attempted murder, home invasion causing injury and aggravated battery use of a deadly weapon, police said. CCL holder critically wounds man overnight at gas station in Englewood neighborhood, cops say

A conceal carry licensed holder returned fire critically wounding a man overnight at a gas station in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 1:40 a.m. Saturday, a 36-year-old man and a 49-year-old man were involved in an argument at a gas station in the 200 block of West 63rd Street when the younger man retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and opened fire toward the older man, police said. Man fatally stabbed overnight on South Side, cops say

A man was fatally stabbed stabbed overnight on the South Side in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 4:45 a.m., a man was walking with two other people in the 6300 block of South Stewart Avenue when a vehicle approached and three males exited. One of them stabbed the victim several times before fleeing the scene, police said. The victim was taken to UChicago Medicine where he was pronounced dead. No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
