Man stabbed Monday night on Red Line train at Loyola Avenue in Rogers Park

A 36-year-old man was in good condition after being attacked with a knife on a Red Line CTA train at Loyola Avenue, Chicago police said. Shortly before 11 p.m., the victim was a passenger on a CTA train when someone approached him with a knife and attacked him for unknown reasons, police said. The man suffered a laceration to the right cheek and nose, and was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said. No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.  

65-year-old woman critically wounded during argument overnight on Far Southeast Side

A 65-year-old woman was left in critical condition Monday night after being shot during an argument in the East Side neighborhood, Chicago police said. Around 10:40 p.m., the victim was involved in an argument with someone she knew in the 4000 block of East 134th Street when the person she was arguing with pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said.
