Man found dead in kitchen with gunshot wound in Austin neighborhood, police say

A 36-year-old man was found dead in a kitchen in the Austin neighborhood Sunday night, according to Chicago police. Police say they responded to a well-being check at the 200 block of North Central at about 11:29 p.m. and found the man on the kitchen floor bleeding and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound in the head. According to police, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Shell casings were found at the scene, police say. No suspects are in custody, and detectives are investigating.

Teenager killed, another injured in Chatham shooting, police say
