Two men were reported wounded by gunfire Wednesday night in the same area of the South Shore neighborhood, police said. Shortly before 8:30 p.m., a man, 20, was standing outside in the 7800 block of South Colfax Avenue when several people armed with handguns approached him demanding his property, police said. Burglars use black pickup to gain entry to businesses overnight on South Side
A pickup truck was used to make entry to two businesses overnight on the South Side in the South Chicago and Auburn Gresham neighborhoods, Chicago police said. The latest burglary happened about 4 a.m. in the 8400 block of South Vincennes Avenue. Police responded to a call of a burglary at a business and found the front door of a convenience store with damage.
