Pumpkin farms, apple orchards offering bountiful pickings and more

The leaves are red, the pumpkins are orange and the corn is tall. We have arrived at arguably the best time of the year. One rite of passage in the fall, and something that is probably on everyone’s fall bucket list, is a visit to a pumpkin farm. Fortunately, there are plenty in the area to visit. Evanston Township High School constructs, moves ninth affordable home

Curious neighbors, high school administrators, and city representatives looked on with excitement as they took video and photos of new housing stock that arrived by the truckload on McDaniel Avenue on Monday. Evanston Township High School, in partnership with the City of Evanston and the nonprofit Community Partners for Affordable Housing, moved its ninth house, created by 100 students throughout the 2023-2024 school year, to a vacant lot on 1319 McDaniel Avenue.
