Woman critically wounded after vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Englewood
A 29-year-old woman was critically wounded after she was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday morning on the South Side in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said. Around 6:40 a.m., the woman was driving her vehicle in the first block of East 69th Street when she was involved in a crash with another vehicle. A passenger inside the other vehicle opened fire, striking the woman to the back, police said. The woman was taken in critical condition to UChicago Medicine. No one was in custody for the shooting and detectives were investigating.
