Skokie voters approve term limits for trustees, mayor and clerk

About an hour and a half after polling places closed in Skokie, unofficial Cook County results showed voters approved/rejected a binding referendum for village elected offices of mayor, village clerk and village trustees. The Cook County Clerk’s Office website announced the result of the Skokie ballot question around 8:30 p.m. on November 5. As of then, the results were 16,325 voting “yes” on the referendum question and 3,144 voting “no.” The “yes” vote had a 67.7% majority.
