Chicago police opened a death investigation after a 63-year-old man was pulled from the Chicago River Friday afternoon in the Loop. About 1:20 p.m., a man was discovered unresponsive in the river in the 300 block of South Wacker Drive. He was pulled from the water and taken to Insight Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives were conducting a death investigation pending autopsy results.
