Man dies after being shot multiple times in North Lawndale
A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead overnight after being found lying on the street after a call of shots fired in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, Chicago police said. Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 1100 block of South Francisco Avenue and discovered on the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries, police said. No one was in custody for the fatal shooting and detectives were investigating.
