An unidentified male victim was discovered fatally wounded in an alley overnight in the South Chicago neighborhood, Chicago police said. About 1:30 a.m., the victim was found at the mouth of an alley in the 2500 block of East 80th Street. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.

Burglars steal ATM, cash register overnight at fast food restaurant in Humboldt Park
Chicago police said two burglars smashed the front glass door of a fast food business and made off with an ATM and cash register overnight in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. Shortly before 2 a.m., two burglars broke the front glass doors of a restaurant in the 2800 block of West Chicago Avenue and made entry before taking an ATM and a cash register. The burglars fled the scene with both in a white sedan, police said. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
