Liquor store clerk attacked by robbers Wednesday night in Lakeview
Two robbers battered a liquor store clerk Wednesday night before taking merchandise in the Lakeview neighborhood, Chicago police said. About 7:45 p.m., two males entered a liquor store in the 400 block of West Diversey Parkway and approached a clerk who was at the counter. The clerk was struck to his arm before the robbers fled the scene with merchandise, police said. The clerk refused medical help. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.

A 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene after she was found with head trauma Wednesday night inside a West Loop residence, Chicago police said. 2 young children reported unattended Wednesday night at River North apartment
Two young children where found unsupervised after a wellbeing check Monday night in the River North neighborhood, Chicago police said. About 12:50 p.m., officers conducting a wellbeing check after a call responded to the 500 block of West Oak Street and found the young children unsupervised, police said. The two children, about 2 to 3-years-old were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital as a precaution but had no injuries. Detectives are investigating.
