A man was pronounced dead and two others suffered smoke inhalation in an apartment fire Wednesday morning in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the North Side, officials said. Shortly before 4:15 a.m., a man believed to be in his 30s, was found unresponsive in an apartment fire in the 1900 block of West Ainslie Street. Witnesses called police for help after seeing a coyote pup being abused and eventually killed by three people Saturday in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood. Saturday afternoon, officers responded to a call reporting a coyote pup being abused in the 10800 block of South Sacramento Avenue by three males, Chicago police said, Officers discovered a dead pup on private property and the coyote was removed.. No one was in custody for abusing and killing the coyote pup, but detectives were investigating.
