Offer to extend contract with electricity provider still open to Naperville despite deadline passing

The advertised deadline for Naperville to decide whether or not it wants to continue procuring energy from the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency has come and gone. But a contract extension has yet to go to Naperville City Council for a vote. And the city’s electric utility director says the option is still on the table.
