3 men shot, 2 fatally, in South Shore home, police say

Two men were fatally shot and one was injured in a shooting in the South Shore neighborhood Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.

Police said officers were on patrol when they heard gunshots fired in the area around 2:40 a.m. The officers relocated to a residence at the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue, where they found three men had been shot.

Two male victims, 31 and 37, had multiple gunshot wounds and were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center. They were both pronounced dead at the hospital.

A third victim, a 24-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the right arm and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.

There is no one in custody.
