A 32-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot late Friday morning on the West Side in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 11:15 a.m., the victim was outside in the 4300 block of West Van Buren Street when someone pulled out a weapon and fired in his direction. The victim was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen.
Detectives were investigating.
