A 39-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the head Friday night in the hallway of a residential building in the Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 3100 block of West Madison Street and found a man with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim had not been identified as of Saturday morning.
No one was in custody for the fatal shooting and detectives were investigating.
