Four people were shot during a celebration on the South Side early Sunday morning, according to Chicago police. The incident happened at 1:42 am on the 9500 block of South Merill Avenue in the South Deering neighborhood.
Two people were transported to UChicago Medicine in critical condition: A 19-year-old man shot in the neck and a 22-year-old woman shot in the back.
A 27-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the right arm was also taken to UChicago but he is in good condition. Another 22-year-old woman whose right leg was grazed by a bullet refused medical attention.
No one is in custody and CPD Area One Detectives are investigating.
