At least four people were wounded early Friday morning in a drive-by shooting in the Burnside neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 3 a.m., the victims were standing on a sidewalk in the 9100 block of South Harper Avenue when someone inside a red sedan opened fire, police said.
A 44-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back, and was taken in fair condition to UChicago Medicine, A 37-year-old man got himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital with a wound to the right arm and also was listed in fair condition. A 33-year-old woman also got herself to Trinity Hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck and was listed in critical condition. A fourth victim, a 30-year-old man also got himself to the same hospital with a wound to the left leg and was listed in fair condition, Police said.
Detectives were investigating the circumstance leading up to the shooting, and no one was in custody.
