A 40-year-old woman was among three people who were shot overnight in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 1 a.m., the woman and two men were inside of a parked vehicle in the 8300 block of South Ashland Avenue when shots rand out striking her in the head. She was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
A 30-year-old man suffered a wound to the left shoulder and also was taken to the same hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said. The third victim, 40, was shot to the left hand and was taken to U Chicago Medicine where he was listed in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
