A 54-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting overnight in the McKinley Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call of a person down in the 1300 block of West 49th Street and discovered a victim with three gunshot wounds to the torso, police said.
The victim told police a vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots in his direction before fleeing the scene. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
