A 72-year-old pedestrian was left in critical condition after he was struck by a pick-up truck while walking in the crosswalk in the Rogers Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 7:15 p..m., the victim was walking in the crossway in the 7300 block of North Clark Street when he was struck by a pickup truck headed east. The victim suffered trauma to the head, and was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the pickup remained on the scene were citations were issued. The Major Accidents Investigation Unit were investigating.
