Shoe repair shops in the suburbs and across the country are dwindling fast, but those that are still around are in high demand. “If you’re good at this and you know what you’re doing, you’re going to survive,” said Larry DeAngelo, owner of Al’s Shoe Service in Mount Prospect. “People will find you.”
