A former star high school basketball player was killed on Sunday afternoon after being shot in Maywood, according to police. Dyanla Rainey, 22, was found by officers responding to a shots fired call in the 700 block of South 6th Avenue, Maywood police said. She was transported to Loyola Medical University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
