CHICAGO (AP) – Grain futures were mostly higher Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Dec. rose 6.25 cents at $8.4025 a bushel; Dec. corn was up 3.50 cents at $6.88 a bushel; Dec. oats was off 5.25 cents at $3.5150 a bushel; while Nov. soybeans gained 13 cents at 13.95 a bushel. Beef was lower and pork was unchanged on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Oct. live cattle was off .23 cent at $1.5137 a pound; Oct. feeder cattle fell .30 cent at $1.7657 a pound; Oct. lean hogs was unchanged at $.8860 a pound.
