Abuut 2,500 volunteers gathered at Willow Creek Community Church campuses this weekend to pack an estimated 55,000 holiday care packages for incarcerated people across the state. “We want to break the cycle of loneliness that happens for people who are behind bars at Christmas time,” said Stacey Kidd of Lake Zurich, a volunteer leader.
