Bar Siena in Skokie’s Westfield Old Orchard Shopping Center is among many establishments offering dining deals during North Shore Restaurant Month.

Restaurants in the North Shore suburbs, including Skokie, Glenview, Northbrook, Evanston, Lincolnwood, Wilmette and Winnetka are offering deals and bonuses through Feb. 29 as part of North Shore Restaurant Month, and Morton Grove restaurants are offering a chance to win $25 gift cards.

Some restaurants, such as Bar Siena and Hampton Social in Skokie, Aboyer in Winnetka, Renga-Tei in Lincolnwood, Cafe Lucci in Glenview and Allgauer’s on the Riverfront in Northbrook, offer three-course, prix-fixe menus that start at $30 per person.

Oceanique in Evanston comes in at $62 per person, but entrees include a choice of swordfish, sea bass, bouillabaisse or other dishes.

Others, such as Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar in Lincolnwood, offer a free appetizer with entree purchase. Guanajato in Winnetka is offering free guacamole with an entree purchase and Koi Fine Asian Cuisine in Evanston is offering free dumplings with purchase.

In the sweets category, Alexander’s and Will’s Place in Skokie offer a free dessert or cookie with an entree purchase. Le Tour in Evanston offers a free dessert with the purchase of two entrees.

Still others, like the Village Inn Sports Bar and Grill pizzeria in Skokie, the Valley Lodge Tavern in Glenview and the Homestead Room in Evanston are offering a straight 15% off the check.

Many restaurants are opting out during the Valentine’s Day period, through as late as Feb. 17, so check before you go to make sure the deals are in place. More information is available at https://www.visitchicagonorthshore.com/

You can always dine in Morton Grove during the Valentine’s period, because the dining program there doesn’t have blackout days.

In Morton Grove’s program, diners take a photo of their February 2024 restaurant receipt and submit it to www.mortongroveil.org/dinemg, or walk it into village hall, for a chance to win one of 10 $25 gift cards. Each receipt totaling $25 or more, or group of receipts totaling $25, will be considered one entry, according to the village’s website.

Restaurants include favorites like Pequod’s Pizza, the Bringer Inn, Burt’s Pizza, Lai Thai, Tava, Giordano’s, Kappy’s, China Chef, China Town, Las Fuentes and Sri Siam.

There are also Mazalae Mongolian Grill, Hal Mae Bo Ssam, OMG Nafisa’s Kitchen and many more.

February has one extra day in this leap year, giving diners an extra chance to partake of the deals.
