Calling all Pokémon trainers! Get ready to have an electrifying time at Naperville Public Library’s Pokémon Palooza.
This all-day event on Saturday, April 27, at the 95th Street Library is your chance to celebrate everything Pokémon. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., we’ll have crafts, storytime, trivia and more to help aspiring trainers catch ’em all.
Bring your whole team (human and Pokémon) to Pokémon Family Storytime: Prepare for trouble and make it double as you gather the whole family for a Pokémon-themed storytime, complete with stories, music and a special visit from Pikachu.
Unlock the secrets of your deck with our Trading Card Game tutorials: Do your little trainers love to collect and trade Pokémon cards but aren’t sure how to play the game? Our Pokémon professors will host two tutorial sessions to teach them how.
Do you know ‘em all? Prove it in the Pokémon Trivia Challenge: Do you know which region is famed for its Pokémon that can Dynamax and Gigantamax? Can you name the Pokémon type that is immune to Fighting moves? If so, test your knowledge with rounds of questions covering types of Pokémon, the Trading Card Game, the video games and more. There will be separate competitions for children and adults/teens to see who is the ultimate Pokémon trivia master.
Visit the Pokémon Center to become the ultimate Pokémon trainer: Sharpen your Pokémon training skills and become the best there ever was at the Pokémon Center, where you can play pokéball beanbag toss, design your own Pokémon card, learn how to spot fake trading cards and battle other trainers in Pokémon GO. Visit three of the four stations to earn a special Pokémon trainer certificate.
Track down the Eeveelutions with our Eeveelutions Scavenger Hunt: Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet and scour the shelves for all the Eeveelutions hiding throughout the lower level of the 95th Street Library. Can you find eevee-ry one?
Take a break and get crafty with Pokémon-themed crafts throughout the day: Make some electro-cute children’s crafts, including Pokéball suncatchers, Meowth bobbleheads, and masks featuring some of your favorite Pokémon including Pikachu, Snorlax, Hoot Hoot, and Poochyena. Teens and adults can also join in the fun by picking up a craft kit to create their own bookmark corners or pompom Pokémon.
