Park Ridge police: Juvenile arrested for mob action, disorderly conduct

The following items were taken from Park Ridge Police Department news releases and reports. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Residential burglary

Between June 3 and June 7 at 8 p.m., someone forcefully entered an apartment in the 1000 block of Busse Highway by unknown means and stole personal property.

Mob action

A 14-year-old boy from Niles was arrested June 10 at 200 S. Vine St. for criminal damage to property, mob action and disorderly conduct.

Battery

A 64-year-old man from the 300 block of East Washington Street, Joliet, was arrested June 11 in the 1500 block of Miner Street, Des Plaines, for battery.

DUI

A 34-year-old man from the 400 block of South Delphia Avenue, Park Ridge, was arrested June 15 just before 4 a.m. for DUI-alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.8 and expired registration.

Cell phone violation

A 26-year-old man from the 2000 block of Hassell Lane, Hoffman Estates, was arrested June 13 at 9:15 p.m. at Touhy and Greenwood for a cell phone violation and driving without a driver’s license.

Theft over $500

Between June 6 at 5 pm and June 7 just before 4 p.m., someone stole the victim’s green and yellow Diamondback Atroz 3 bicycle from in front of his residence in the 800 block of Park Plaine. The bicycle had an Apple Air Tag attached and it pinged once in Chicago, but it was not located.

Theft under $500

On June 6 at about 6:45 p.m., a victim left a black and white bicycle, unlocked, in the bike rack outside Centennial Pool. It was missing upon the victim’s return. An Apple Air Tag attached to the bike pinged once in the area of Western and Crescent, but the bike was not located.

Burglary from vehicle

During the overnight hours of June 9, someone entered the victim’s 2021 Ford Bronco, in the 600 to 700 block of Florence Drive, and removed personal property.
