Four people were wounded, two critically, in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side early Sunday, Chicago police said.
A group of people was gathered near 37th and State streets a little before 3:30 a.m. when a white truck pulled up. According to police, there was an exchange of gunfire between people in the truck and those on the street.
A 41-year-old man shot in the lower back and a 31-year-old man shot in the abdomen and left hip were both brought to University of Chicago Medical Center and both listed in critical condition.
A 35-year-old woman was shot in the left buttocks and a 30-year-old man was shot in the left thigh, police said. They were also both brought to University of Chicago Medical Center, and both were listed in good condition.
As of Sunday morning, no one was in custody and detectives from Area One were investigating.
